The summer-like feel will continue into the weekend. Mornings will start out warm, with hot afternoons both weekend days.

Skies will be mostly to partly sunny tomorrow morning. Temperatures will start out in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. After a warm start, temperatures will heat up to around 90 for inland spots. The east coast will be a touch cooler with afternoon highs in the middle-80s.

If you do have beach plans this weekend, keep in mind the rip current risk has been high and it will be elevated through the weekend.

A cold front will eventually bring Central Florida rain Monday night into Tuesday of next week. Temperatures fall back into the 70s for the afternoons by Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Flagler Sports Complex Workshop | County officials are exploring the potential for a large-scale sports complex, which could include indoor and outdoor facilities for a variety of sports, retail and dining options, sports medicine, and high-level competitions and training programs. The county and city of Palm Coast will hold a workshop on April 7 to get public input on what the facility should offer and how it could benefit the community. The meeting is at 1 p.m. at the Flagler County Government Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd. in Bunnell. 

  • Future Leaders Academy | Ocala is now accepting applications from the 2025 Ocala Future Leaders Academy, a summer youth employment program designed to provide on-the-job training and professional development for future careers within the organization. Employment will take place from June 9 to Aug. 1. Learn more about the program and apply here.

  • Kids Fishing Clinic | Lake County is hosting a free Kids Fishing Clinic on April 12 for children 4 and older. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hickory Point Recreational Complex in Tavares. Space is limited and participants must RSVP.
