The Radisson Blu Resort Fiji dedicated a week of celebrations from September 24 to 28 in appreciation of the Housekeeping department.

The housekeeping team has a total of 72 workers and has been celebrating Housekeeping Week since 2011.

Over the years, the resort has been crafting creative and exciting ways to acknowledge and thank one of its most crucial departments in the resort.

“The Radisson Blu is a company and family that is passionate about what we do. Our aim is to deliver meaningful and memorable experiences for our guests and this begins with our team members.

“We are committed to creating a great place for great people to do great work”, said Charles Homsy, general manager of Radisson Blu Resort Fiji.

One of the core mission statements that the resort values is “The People”, where workers are made to feel valued and empowered in their roles.

Management was also involved in the week long programme, engaging in some of the fun activities as well as helping with the judging of some of the competitions organised.

The weeklong energetic schedule included themed morning walks, cleanest work stations and work block competitions, trolley and beddings competitions, morning tea, trolley treats and sporting competitions for the housekeeping team.

“During our Housekeeping Week, employees are recognised for the hard work put into their roles and reminded of their value to the resort.

“This has been our seventh consecutive year to celebrate Housekeeping Week and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Housekeeping Department for all their efforts in helping maintain the resorts Number 1 Family resort rating on Trip Advisor.

“The key to our success and prosperity is not the physical building and everything in it, but it is our people – our well trained and enthusiastic employees who should be proud of their contributions to the overall success of the resort”, says Mr Homsy.
