Nigel Farage: the first leader to yell ‘boring’ at his own event?

Underwhelmed by Reform UK’s grand announcement about some councillors, reporters offended the star of the show with questions about Rupert Lowe

If you send out cryptic invitations to a “special announcement by Reform UK,” and it turns out to be the “unveiling” of 29 defecting local councillors, 20 of whom were already known about, it is possibly to be expected that the event might end with someone shouting the word “boring!” over and over again.

“Boring! Yawn! Yawn! Boring! Boring!” On and on it went. What was surprising was that the person who found themselves so utterly bored they felt compelled to start shouting about it was, in fact, Nigel Farage, the party leader.

The reason for his boredom was tiresome journalists refusing to ask him questions about his very exciting announcement. Instead, they kept asking boring questions about the continuing Reform civil war. Every time
