Pioneer Bucyrus DECA heads to national conference with top initiatives

Pioneer Bucyrus DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of Amerca) achieved national recognition for its school-based enterprise and Thrive campaigns.

The organization secured four spots at DECA’s International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, Florida, from April 26-29, according to an announcement.

The Red Zone Spirit Store, a student-run business, has received Gold Certification for the 2024-2025 school year. This honor reflects the hard work of the Pioneer Bucyrus DECA Chapter. Grace Jackson and Aysiz Wade will compete against other School-Based Enterprise representatives with a professional presentation about market planning. The store provides students with hands-on experience in marketing, finance, and management.

Additionally, McKenzie Rowland and Jenna Ashley have been instrumental in achieving Thrive Level recognition for Pioneer Bucyrus DECA. Their leadership in community awareness, school activities, and alumni engagement led to the completion of two Thrive campaigns, fostering strong connections within the school and local community.

DECA’s School-Based Enterprise Certification Program recognizes outstanding student-operated businesses that uphold high standards in marketing and retail.
