Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has said if Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had previously “leveraged” equity with the United States, Australia would be in a “different position”.
“There is a necessity for beef to be exported from Australia to meet the consumption needs of Americans,” Mr Dutton said in a media conference.
“We have an integral part to play in helping America.
“You need to be able to have the strength of leadership to argue our corner, to fight for our position, to stand up to what is a bad decision for our country.”
