DI signs pact with Qatar Youth Hostels to bolster cooperation

DOHA: Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar Youth Hostels to promote joint cooperation between both parties.

The MoU was signed by Acting President of DI Dr Yasir Suleiman Malley and CEO of Qatar Youth Hostels Ahmed Hassan Alobaidly.

The agreement promotes the cooperation and partnership means between both parties in the field of culture and knowledge exchange. It also works on increasing community awareness, especially between youth and organize joint activities and trips to the most prominent tourist sites in the country.

Qatar Youth Hostels will also provide practical training, especially during the summer for a number of students in DI, in exchange for the institute to provide support, consultancy and training courses to employees at Qatar Youth Hostels in the various administrative and humanitarian fields, and any other subjects that the institute will provide in colleges, programmes and specialised centres.

Dr Malley said signing the MoU between both entities comes as part of institutional and community integration and aims to intensify the institution’s role in serving the Qatari community, joint by an association that communicates with the youth and spreads knowledge on Qatar’s history and culture instilled in its Arab and Islamic environment.

Ahmed Hassan Alobaidly said signing the agreement comes as part of the association’s keenness to diversify its programs and activities to serve youth in all segments. It also complies with the goals of the association and comes part of its strategic plans.
